Newest Mosaic Project

I love summer time! I have time to work on my own projects! Here is a project that I have been wanting to do for months- I finally had to time to do it!

I found the purple tray on clearance for under $5. The mosaic pieces are dishes that I found at the Texas Art Asylum for under $4. I grouted it with black grout and then added an acryllic coating to finish it off.

The only issue I had was with the acryllic coating. Lots of bubbles! I used my blow dryer to heat it and that helped get rid of a lot of the bubbles.

This project will be heading to Kentucky, to my sister-in-law.

I just found some new molds. Using them today to make lots of pendants! Can't wait to see the finished product. I will post pictures as soon as they are ready! I still need to add the resin and let them set up.

Special Order

My sister special ordered this frame.

Black metal background, slate outer circle, pearl inner circle. Individual pieces make up the Steelers logo.

Other projects

Here's a mosaic project I did with my friend, Stephanie- a fellow art teacher. We had lots of fun and my wonderful sister got a beautiful birthday present out of the deal!

The background is silver mirror tiles. The central pieces are light blue marbles and large pieces of white sea glass.
